SICK BABY
When you enter your loft, or observe your birds being fed, you can spot a bird that is having problems (sick). This applies with the young in the nest. Watch the young as they can go fast.
One of my slightly feathered RST babies had grain in the crop, which was not being digested. The pumpers stopped feeding it. I knew I had to act fast or the bird would die.
The first day I gave the bird using latex tipped syringe warm water with mineral oil. In addition it received ¼ tab of DIVET which is for bacteria infections, salmonella, E-coli and respiratory infections
The mineral oil acts as a laxative. The second day I noted the grain was half out of the crop, so again I gave it warm water this time with a light amount of Kaytee baby food mixed with the mineral oil. Note: The oil will rise to the top of the water, so you must suction it into the syringe. It also received a ¼ tab of Divet
The third morning the grain was completely out of the crop. I fed the bird some condensed Kaytee baby food with the syringe. I continued feeding the bird for several days the Kaytee food.
The bird survived and it is now a grown RST cock.
I cannot guarantee the same results for you, but it worked for me.
